I created a music video for We’re Hangin’ Out using clips from classic TV commercials in the Public Domain. I want to thank the Prelinger Archive for making this material available to everyone. I hope you enjoy it… I think it’s a fun viewing and listening experience.
This is the very first original song I performed in public. The occasion was the Songwriter’s Showcase at the American Fish Company on the Southport, NC waterfront… hence the extra background noise. Jamie Hoover hosted this event, which was sponsored by Up Your Arts, an organization formed to restore the old City Hall building and convert it to an arts center. Check them out at upyourarts.org.
Here is something we made in Jamie Hoover’s Recording and Production class. Brunswick Community College is our host, and during the pandemic, we managed to pull this off remotely through Zoom. Jamie actually used my mix of the song for the video.
